Enquiries and how your information is used
When you submit the form, your name, email address, selected service, message and any business details you choose to include are sent to Formspree, which processes the submission and notifies Luke at lukeallanphotography@gmail.com. Submissions may also be stored in Luke’s Formspree account. Google processes email received through Gmail.
This information is used to answer your enquiry, discuss your requirements and prepare a proposal. Where you enquire about a contract for yourself, the lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. For business representatives and general enquiries, the basis is legitimate interests in responding and managing business correspondence. Providing the required form fields is necessary to submit an enquiry through the form; you can email Luke directly instead.
Please do not include sensitive personal information or confidential client records. Enquiries do not subscribe you to marketing. The site has no account registration or payment collection.
Technical information
Your browser requests the pages, photographs, scripts and fonts needed to display the site. The website code does not include visitor analytics, advertising pixels or session recording. Fonts and portfolio images are served with the website.
Hosting and security
The website is prepared for hosting on Cloudflare. When you visit the hosted site, Cloudflare processes technical information needed to deliver and protect it. This may include your IP address, request and traffic information, and security events.
The purpose is to serve the website reliably, identify faults and protect it against abuse. Luke’s lawful basis for this processing is legitimate interests in operating a secure, functioning business website.
Cloudflare processes customer logs on behalf of website operators and describes its other processing in its privacy policy. Technical information is processed under the hosting provider’s applicable service terms and settings. The site does not maintain a separate visitor analytics database.
International processing
Cloudflare operates a global network, so technical information may be processed outside the UK, including in the United States. Its Data Processing Addendum provides safeguards for restricted transfers, including standard contractual clauses with the UK Addendum where applicable. Formspree and Google may also process enquiry information outside the UK. Their privacy and transfer information is available in the Formspree privacy policy and Google privacy policy. How long information is kept
Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to respond, discuss potential work and maintain relevant business records. The period depends on whether a project proceeds, whether follow-up is ongoing, and any legal, accounting or dispute-related requirements. Messages and Formspree submissions that are no longer needed should be deleted from the relevant accounts. You may contact Luke to request deletion, subject to any lawful reason to retain the information.
Your data protection rights
Where UK data protection law applies, you may have rights to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict or object to its use, and receive a portable copy. These rights depend on the circumstances and the lawful basis for processing. Where consent is used, you can withdraw it.
